Who is this Course for?

This course is suitable for those who have completed Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Supporting Teachers and Students’ Wellbeing Programme.

Course Content

Phase 3 starts to bring together all that you have learnt through Phase 1 and Phase 2.

The Themes of this Phase are:

  • Taking Care of Yourself
  • Keeping your Mindfulness Alive
  • Guiding Mindful Activities

You will be invited to attend a half-day silent retreat where you will be guided through the practices learnt in previous Phases, such as Walking Meditation, Sitting Meditation, Body Scan, LovingKindness Meditation and Yoga inspired movement. The retreat is seen as a way to help you firmly establish mindfulness in daily life, a sense of Being in the present moment and being open to all experiences.

You will be guided in designing your own age appropriate activities for your students and practice these between sessions, reflect on and share your experiences the following session.

Sessions continue to be highly practical and interactive, giving you space to explore your own experiences and hear the experiences of others.  The home practice will become more self-directed as the course progresses, supporting your transition as the course ends, and helping you to keep your mindfulness practice alive.
